Editorial Policy
How Ride South Mississippi researches, writes, reviews, and corrects its comparisons and buyer guides.
Research and sourcing
- Specifications, capacities, and pricing come from manufacturer documentation and established powersports publications, and the source is named or linked in the article.
- Where owner experience matters (reliability, mud performance, dealer support), we draw on published owner reports and reviews and attribute them, rather than presenting secondhand experience as our own.
- Claims about specific businesses are attributed to the business or to a verifiable source. A claim we cannot verify does not run.
Review before publishing
Every guide carries a named author and is reviewed by Wade Kirkland, the publication's Editorial Director, before it goes live. The review checks sourcing, factual claims, and whether the recommendation logic holds up for the Gulf South rider the guide is written for.
Independence and recommendations
Ride South Mississippi is an independent editorial publication. No manufacturer or dealer directs, reviews, or approves our coverage.
The site currently names Hattiesburg Cycles as its pick for buying powersports in the Gulf South, and guides say so plainly in a dedicated section. That endorsement is an editorial judgment and it does not soften our comparisons: where a competing machine or brand wins on the merits, the guide says so.
Updates and corrections
- Every article shows its publish date, and an updated date whenever the content has materially changed since it first ran.
- Comparisons and buyer guides are re-checked on a recurring schedule so model years, specs, and prices stay current.
- When we get something wrong, we correct the article itself. Factual corrections change the updated date; typo-level fixes do not.
